Ben Fearnehough

1. Found Ben's ad on Facebook Marketplace. Agreed to a ~$10k build for Stage 2 tune with valved exhaust. Quoted "1-2 days" turnaround.
2. Paid $11,166.21 upfront on May 2, 2025. Car dropped off June 12.
3. Days of delays. On June 17, Ben claims the driveshaft bearing failed "during exhaust removal." Wants $2,954 for replacement. No inspection allowed.
4. Discovered Ben added unauthorized parts to invoice: 4-bar MAP sensor ($300), fuel pump ($580), oil additive ($125). Never discussed. Never approved.
5. Ben refused to return my vehicle unless I signed a waiver, deleted reviews, and paid for his alleged driveshaft damage. Blocked me on messenger.
6. Filed QCAT claim June 19. Paid remaining $1,629 June 21. Ben still refused release, demanding "written collection plan" and threatening storage fees.
7. June 27: Had to call police to retrieve my own car. Police retrieved keys. Arranged tow truck immediately - Ben told police car was "not roadworthy."
8. Independent inspection confirmed: driveshaft was broken. $3,500 repair. Parts Ben claimed to "dispose of" were still in my boot. Charged me $80 disposal fee anyway.
9. Car returned with no tune installed - still on stock tune despite being charged $1,200 for ECU tune and $900 for DSG tune. Aftermarket parts installed but no software.
10. Ben falsely posted on Google claiming I have a "known history with police" and engaged in "defamatory conduct and trespass." I have a clean National Police Certificate dated June 12, 2025.
11. October 1, 2025: QCAT mediation. Ben refused all resolution and threatened to countersue me for $40,000 for "defamation" unless I dropped my claim.
12. The kicker: Ben's personal ABN was cancelled November 14, 2017. He resigned as director of Kaioken Holdings in June 2023. Still operating and issuing invoices under "SC Diesel Tuning" in 2025.
